The call

Chehaoduo still runs the physical network but has stopped publishing numbers just as its public rival Uxin starts publishing big ones.

Chehaoduo buys and sells used cars in China by sending inspectors to check them in person, then ships the cars to buyers. It has real advantages: a database of inspection records, operations in 200+ cities, and a network of 10,000 dealers. However, Uxin, a listed competitor, is growing three times faster and sharing those numbers publicly while Chehaoduo stays silent. Chehaoduo also makes very thin profits (6-7 cents per dollar of sales), has rebuilt its business model twice in one year, and faced a scandal in December 2025 when customers complained that inspections were faked. The one thing that could turn this around is if Chehaoduo proves its inspection system works better than Uxin's and starts publishing real growth numbers, but right now the silence and the fraud complaints suggest the opposite is happening.

Why
01
AI pressure: Generative AI pricing and condition-report tools. AI can write condition reports and price cars, but not run the inspection bays, warranties, or 10,000-dealer logistics behind them. Could AI do the core job? Only partly.
02
Bigger players: Uxin Limited (Nasdaq: UXIN). Uxin runs a live inspection-backed superstore model and posts +79% revenue, +135% volume growth while Chehaoduo discloses no numbers. Could a giant copy it? Probably.
03
What protects it. Physical inspection data, 200+ city footprint, and 10,000 certified dealers that AI or a listed rival can't copy overnight.
What would change this call
Whether Chehaoduo discloses audited revenue or transaction growth figures by Q4 2026. Shows if Chehaoduo can match Uxin's disclosed growth or is losing ground silently.
Whether Dec 2025 inspection-fraud complaints trigger formal regulatory action within 6 months. Shows if the trust/inspection moat is being damaged, pushing customers to rivals.
Whether Uxin's next two quarterly reports continue outpacing any Chehaoduo disclosures. Shows whether Uxin is durably taking share while Chehaoduo's model resets continue.

Questions people ask
Is Chehaoduo profitable?
No audited financials exist to confirm profitability. Public peer Uxin reported only 6.7 to 7.5 percent gross margin in Q4 2025, and Chehaoduo has never disclosed comparable figures, so profitability cannot be verified as of July 2026.
Is Chehaoduo planning an IPO?
Reports from 2024 to 2025 say Chehaoduo explored a US listing seeking about 200 million dollars at roughly 10.5 billion dollars valuation, but no filing or listing has been confirmed as of July 2026.
Who is Chehaoduo's biggest competitor?
Uxin Limited, Nasdaq-listed, is the clearest rival: it reported FY2025 revenue of RMB3.24 billion, up 79 percent year over year, and retail transaction volume up 135 percent, with 5 superstores open by December 2025.
Can AI replace Guazi's used-car inspection business?
AI can commoditize pricing and condition-report generation, but Guazi's moat rests on physical inspection, a 200-plus city footprint, dealer relationships, and financing infrastructure that AI systems cannot replicate without matching physical presence and regulatory standing.
Did Chehaoduo shut down any products recently?
Yes, Chehaoduo shut down its Maodou new-car retail and leasing app in September 2024 and simultaneously pivoted Guazi from a C2C model to a C2B2C model with about 10,000 certified merchant dealers.
What is Chehaoduo's valuation?
Chehaoduo was valued at 9 billion dollars after a SoftBank Vision Fund led raise of about 1.5 billion dollars in February 2019, with no confirmed up-round since a 300 million dollar Series E in June 2021.
