The call

Duke Holding is a tiny, single-customer freight business trying to list on Nasdaq while bigger digital forwarders and AI tools already automate the same work it does by hand.

Duke Holding moves freight and packages across borders for companies, earning a thin 7% profit on each shipment. Nine out of every ten dollars it makes comes from a single customer it started working with in April 2024, which makes it vulnerable: bigger competitors like Flexport, Amazon, and C.H. Robinson already do the same work at larger scale, and new software that writes shipping quotes and customs paperwork automatically could shrink what little profit Duke makes. The whole company lives or dies on whether that one big customer renews its contract and keeps paying the same price, because losing them would wipe out almost all the money Duke brings in.

Why
01
AI pressure: AI-driven freight quoting and customs automation tools used by Flexport, Freightos, and similar platforms. Automated quoting and paperwork tools already handle the manual tasks Duke's 21 staff do by hand, squeezing its thin margins further. Could AI do the core job? Yes, likely.
02
Bigger players: Flexport, Amazon Logistics, C.H. Robinson, DHL, Kuehne+Nagel, and Chinese cross-border players like Yun Express. These firms already run digital, scaled freight and 3PL operations in the same lanes Duke serves, with far more capital and carrier relationships. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. Its main protection is the exclusive relationship with one international carrier customer, which supplies about 90% of revenue and could vanish just as fast.
