The call

Enjamb is a two-person, two-month-old company trying to automate drug submissions right as Veeva, the incumbent record-keeper, builds the same agents in-house.

Enjamb Labs builds software to automate the tedious back-and-forth tasks pharma companies do when submitting new drugs for approval, coordinating regulatory paperwork, clinical data, and statistical analysis. The problem is that Veeva Systems, which already owns the core database where pharma companies store their submission records and has relationships with over 2,600 drug makers, announced in May 2026 that it is shipping the exact same AI orchestration feature into its own system by August 2026. Enjamb claims it can work without moving data, but Veeva has no reason to let a standalone tool sit between itself and its customers, and frontier AI models like Claude can do orchestration without proprietary lock-in. The one thing that could change the picture is if Veeva's product launch slips more than three months past August, or if Enjamb's five named customers publicly confirm they are actually using the software and saving money with it, neither of which has happened yet.

Why
01
AI pressure: Frontier LLMs (Claude, GPT) sold directly into pharma workflows. Enjamb is built on top of Claude/GPT with no proprietary data; the model labs could sell the same orchestration straight to pharma. Could AI do the core job? Yes, likely.
02
Bigger players: Veeva Systems (Falcon platform, Regulatory agents due Aug 2026, Clinical agents due Dec 2026). Veeva already holds the pharma system of record and 2,600+ biopharma relationships, and is adding the same regulatory and clinical agents. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. Nothing verified yet: no proprietary data, no confirmed customer, and no regulatory foothold that Veeva or a model lab can't reach.
What would change this call
Veeva Falcon Regulatory agents ship on schedule around August 2026. Shows incumbent can deliver the same capability natively, closing Enjamb's window.
Veeva Falcon Clinical agents ship around December 2026 with pharma adoption. Would confirm incumbent distribution beats independent orchestration layers.
One of J&J, AbbVie, BMS, Merck, or Sanofi independently confirms Enjamb usage or ROI in press. Would validate Enjamb's customer claims beyond its own marketing.
Key numbers
  • Raised $650K total from YC and Founders (2026)
  • Team of 2 co-founders, 0 job postings (2026)
  • Veeva Falcon regulatory agents due Aug 2026 (2026-07)
Named risks
  • Veeva and Certara are shipping native agentic features into the exact same submission and clinical workflows Enjamb targets. Severity: high
  • Two person team and only $650,000 raised leave thin runway against well-capitalized incumbents. Severity: high
  • No proprietary data, FDA qualification, or system-of-record ownership to defend the workflow layer. Severity: high
  • Pharma customer usage claims (J&J, AbbVie, BMS, Merck, Sanofi) are vendor-authored and unverified by any named company. Severity: medium
  • Repositioning from broad R&D lifecycle tool to narrow drug-program tool suggests unstable pitch. Severity: low
