The call

Ford ownership keeps the work in-house, but AI is already shrinking the seat count that work requires.

Percepta is a customer service company owned partly by Ford that handles warranty claims and recalls for cars. It is hard for other companies to copy because Ford is a partner and trusts Percepta with 25 years of history and knowledge of how to handle recalls. But this advantage does not stop artificial intelligence from doing the job instead. Percepta is already using its own AI platform called DAISY to answer customer calls, which means fewer people are needed to do the work. The real question is how fast the company will replace human workers with AI, because that is where most of the money comes from right now.

Why
01
AI pressure: AI contact-center automation (Percepta's own DAISY platform, TTEC AI rollout). DAISY analyzes all interactions and TTEC's AI push already track with a 9.8% headcount drop since 2023. Could AI do the core job? Yes, likely.
02
Bigger players: TTEC Holdings (co-owner). TTEC could fold Percepta's contact-center work into shared AI-driven operations, shrinking its separate seat base. Could a giant copy it? Probably.
03
What protects it. Ford co-ownership and 25 years of warranty/recall compliance integration keep this work inside the joint venture, not open to outside bidders.

Questions people ask
Who owns Percepta?
Percepta LLC has been a 50/50 joint venture between TTEC Holdings (NASDAQ: TTEC) and Ford Motor Company since it launched in April 2000. No ownership change has occurred since founding, per TTEC's July 2025 25th-anniversary press release.
Is Percepta profitable in 2026?
Unknown. Percepta's financials are not broken out separately in TTEC's SEC filings and no audited public revenue figure exists as of 2026. As a private JV, profitability cannot be independently confirmed from primary sources.
Could AI replace Percepta's call center agents?
Percepta's own DAISY AI platform already analyzes 100% of customer interactions for QA and pattern detection, a company claim as of August 2025. Tier-1 warranty status, scheduling, and FAQ work is the most AI-exposed slice of its business.
Who is Percepta's biggest competitor?
Generalist CX BPOs like Teleperformance and Concentrix compete broadly, but cannot enter Ford's dedicated book since Percepta is Ford's co-owned JV. Percepta's parent TTEC also runs competing CX operations independently.
What does Percepta actually do?
Percepta is an automotive customer-experience BPO founded in April 2000 as a Ford/TeleTech (now TTEC) joint venture, handling warranty and recall administration, EV and telematics support, and voice, chat, email, social and app based service, per percepta.com.
