The call

A three-person team with public-record data and a New Hampshire pilot, racing to lock in multi-party workflows before Dotloop or a rival AI startup gets there first.

RealPact takes property records and automatically fills in real estate contracts, saving agents time on paperwork. The problem is that established competitors like Dotloop (owned by Zillow) can add this feature themselves without losing money, and frontier AI models like Claude are rapidly approaching the ability to read forms and fill them in automatically, which could make RealPact obsolete. The company survives only if it locks in customers through per-transaction pricing that Dotloop can't undercut, creates workflows that tie together title companies and lenders, or develops deep state-by-state compliance knowledge that AI can't easily replicate, but none of these have been proven yet.

Why
01
AI pressure: Frontier agents like Claude with computer use plus MCP form-filling. General AI agents can already extract data and fill forms, a capability that could copy RealPact's core trick within 12-24 months. Could AI do the core job? Yes, likely.
02
Bigger players: Dotloop (Zillow). Dotloop has no pricing conflict stopping it from bolting AI autofill onto its existing $32/month base if it chooses to. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. Early New Hampshire brokerage relationships and speed to wire in title, lender, and attorney workflows before bigger platforms bother to.
What would change this call
Dotloop, SkySlope, or Qualia ship native AI contract-autofill within 12 to 18 months. Would show incumbents closing RealPact's only visible differentiation.
Zillow acquires ListedKit AI, ReBillion, or another AI-native transaction-coordination startup. Would show incumbency consolidating the AI layer before RealPact scales.
RealPact announces a live title company or lender integration with a named partner. Would show RealPact building the multi-party lock-in its survival depends on.

Questions people ask
Is RealPact profitable in 2026?
No. RealPact discloses no revenue figures. As of July 2026 it is a 3-person, pre-seed startup piloting with brokerages only in New Hampshire, backed by $500,000 from Y Combinator plus unspecified additional VC funding per a May 21, 2026 Dartmouth report.
Could AI replace RealPact?
Possibly its own niche. RealPact's product (auto-filling contracts, pulling property records) is itself the commodity AI-agent task frontier models are converging on. Rival ListedKit AI already shipped competing AI contract-reading features by April 2026, per listedkit.com.
Who owns RealPact?
RealPact was founded in 2025 by Dartmouth students Ranvir Deshmukh ('26) and Erik Peterson ('27). It is backed by Y Combinator (Summer 2026 batch) and LeapYear Fund, per RealPact's own site, with no institutional valuation disclosed as of June 2026.
Who is RealPact's biggest competitor?
Incumbents Dotloop (owned by Zillow since 2015, about $32/month) and SkySlope are entrenched transaction-management leaders. RealPact also faces same-stage YC AI-native peers like ListedKit AI, ReBillion, CentralComs, and Henry, all launched around 2026.
How much funding has RealPact raised?
RealPact raised $500,000 from Y Combinator plus additional unspecified VC, pitch competition, and angel funding, according to a May 21, 2026 Dartmouth article. It also won a $20,000 Jeff Crowe Grand Prize at Dartmouth's Magnuson competition on May 9, 2026.
Does RealPact have real paying customers?
RealPact says it is selling to brokerages in New Hampshire and expanding, per its YC profile. Co-founder Erik Peterson claimed May 21, 2026 the company has 'the most tangible traction' among rivals, but no customer counts or logos are independently confirmed.
