The call

Savage X Fenty still has the brand and the stores, but its old advantage over Victoria's Secret is gone and no permanent CEO has been named in over a year.

Savage X Fenty makes and sells inclusive lingerie under Rihanna's name, with physical stores and wholesale partners. It was hard to compete with because Victoria's Secret was stuck selling one look while Savage X welcomed everyone else, but Victoria's Secret just hired Savage X's former CEO and is copying that exact strategy, and Kim Kardashian's Skims is getting five times more investment and expanding faster. The company needs a permanent leader in place and proof it can grow without relying on discounts and billing tricks, or it will keep sliding backward against better-funded rivals.

Why
01
AI pressure: AI shopping agents (Amazon Rufus, ChatGPT shopping plugins). AI agents that compare prices and fit across brands could weaken subscription lock-in and brand loyalty over time. Could AI do the core job? Only partly.
02
Bigger players: Victoria's Secret & Co. under Hillary Super. Savage X's former CEO now runs VS and is rebuilding its inclusive positioning, closing the gap Savage X once owned alone. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. Rihanna's cultural pull, ~14 stores plus wholesale doors, and TechStyle's subscription/fulfillment infrastructure.
What would change this call
Savage X Fenty names a permanent CEO within 12 months of July 2026. Would signal board/Rihanna confidence in stabilizing the brand's trajectory.
Victoria's Secret discloses market-share gains or revenue acceleration under Hillary Super by early 2027. Would confirm VS is actively winning back customers Savage X once took.
Outcome of Maxwell v. Lavender Lingerie class action (settlement or ruling) by late 2026. Would show whether membership/billing practices are unraveling under legal pressure.

Questions people ask
Is Savage X Fenty profitable in 2026?
No audited financials exist since Savage X Fenty is private. Third-party revenue estimates conflict wildly, ranging from about $53M to $250M depending on source, with no confirmed profitability figure disclosed as of July 2026.
Who is the CEO of Savage X Fenty right now?
As of April 2025 reporting, no permanent CEO has been publicly confirmed. Hillary Super led the brand after Rihanna stepped down in June 2023, then left in August 2024 to become CEO of Victoria's Secret.
Is Savage X Fenty losing ground to Skims?
Skims raised $225 million in late 2025 at a $5 billion valuation and opened a London flagship in July 2026, five times Savage X Fenty's last confirmed $1 billion valuation from January 2022.
Could AI replace Savage X Fenty's business?
Unlikely to fully replace it. Savage X Fenty's moat rests on Rihanna's celebrity brand, its Prime Video show, and physical retail across Nordstrom, Selfridges and Galeries Lafayette, none of which AI automates. Sizing and CX tools are the only exposed workflows.
Is Savage X Fenty a good place to work?
Glassdoor shows a 2.5 out of 5 overall rating as of July 2026, with only 25 percent of 76 reviewers recommending it to a friend and just 11 percent expressing a positive business outlook, well below retail-industry averages.
Who owns Savage X Fenty?
Rihanna reportedly holds around 30 percent ownership as of March 2026, with the remainder split among joint-venture partner TechStyle Fashion Group and investors including L Catterton, Neuberger Berman, Advent International and Multiply Group.
