Seqrite
Indian cybersecurity vendor selling endpoint protection and enterprise security under the Seqrite brand.
Seqrite still owns its home turf in Indian regulated sectors, but revenue is shrinking and losses are widening while a brand-new CEO tries to restart enterprise growth.
Seqrite sells computer security software and monitoring services mainly to banks, government agencies, and large companies in India. It has 30 years of relationships and special access to customers who must follow Indian data protection rules, plus information from millions of computers it watches. But Microsoft, SentinelOne, and CrowdStrike are winning customers by offering free or cheap security built into software that companies already buy, and Seqrite's sales dropped 25% last year and stopped growing in its main business. The company just hired a new leader in mid-2026 to fix costs and restart growth, so the next few months of results will show whether that plan actually works or if Seqrite keeps losing ground.
Another quarter of double-digit YoY revenue decline after Q4 FY26's -25%. Would confirm continued customer loss and failure of the turnaround.
Published mindshare or market-share trackers showing Seqrite below 1.0% versus SentinelOne/CrowdStrike gains. Would confirm accelerating loss of position to named rivals.
- Q4 FY26 revenue ₹48.7cr, down 25.19% YoY
- Q4 FY26 EBITDA -₹29.3cr, net loss ₹19.94cr
- Seqrite enterprise revenue plateaued near ₹121cr
- Revenue decline accelerating: Q4 FY26 revenue fell 25.19% YoY to ₹48.7 crore.
- Deepening unprofitability: EBITDA -₹29.3 crore and net loss ₹19.94 crore in Q4 FY26.
- Enterprise (Seqrite) revenue plateaued near ₹120-121 crore for three straight fiscal years.
- New, unproven CEO (appointed June 2026) must reverse margin erosion within a few quarters.
- Global mindshare erosion versus SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, and Palo Alto as of May 2026.
| Rival | Direction | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft Defender for Endpoint | gaining on | Bundled near-zero marginal cost with E5 licenses, squeezing Seqrite's endpoint pricing as of 2026-07 |
| SentinelOne | gaining on | Mindshare rose to 4.5% (from 4.4%) vs Seqrite's drop to 1.0% (from 1.4%) as of 2026-05 |
| Palo Alto Cortex XDR | gaining on | Held 3.6% mindshare vs Seqrite's 1.0% in PeerSpot data, 2026-05 |
| CrowdStrike Falcon | contesting | Listed as direct peer/competitor in third-party endpoint comparisons through 2026-04 |
- Is Seqrite in financial trouble?
- There are real warning signs: consolidated profit after tax dropped from ₹24.24 crore in FY24 to just ₹5.04 crore in FY25, and EBITDA went negative, at -₹6.6 crore for FY2024-25 and widening further to -₹29.3 crore in Q4 FY26 alone. Revenue has also declined each of the last two fiscal years, landing at ₹261 crore in FY2025-26, so the company is under real financial pressure even though it still wins large contracts like the ₹64.25cr NFSU deal.
- Who are Seqrite's biggest competitors?
- Globally, Seqrite competes with Palo Alto Networks' Cortex XDR, CrowdStrike, and Microsoft Defender, all of which ship more advanced AI-driven detection features than Seqrite currently offers. Within India, it also faces IT services giants TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and HCL for the same regulated government and BFSI contracts it depends on.
- Is Seqrite at risk from AI?
- Yes, partly. Palo Alto Networks' Cortex XDR 5.0 already ships autonomous SOC agents that do alert triage and log correlation, a capability Seqrite still markets as a GenAI chat assistant called SIA rather than true autonomous automation. Our July 2026 assessment found Seqrite's AI capabilities trailing these global rivals, with no equivalent autonomous triage feature yet shipped.
- What protects Seqrite from losing all its business?
- Seqrite's main protection is regulatory rather than technical: India's data-sovereignty and DPDP rules keep foreign vendors out of many regulated government, defense and BFSI bids, where it just won a ₹64.25cr NFSU contract in November 2025. That said, our July 2026 assessment found this protection to be modest rather than durable, resting more on regulatory footing and local relationships than on any technical edge over rivals.
- What should I watch to see if Seqrite is turning things around?
- Two dated markers matter: whether Quick Heal Technologies reports consolidated revenue growth for FY2026-27, ending March 2027, which would break three straight years of decline from ₹291.75 crore in FY24 to ₹261 crore in FY26. Also watch whether Seqrite's XDR platform ships a native agentic AI feature, such as autonomous alert triage, by December 2026 to close the gap with Palo Alto Networks' Cortex XDR 5.0.
