The call

ShareCRM is shielded from Salesforce by regulation but stands exposed to un-barred domestic giants and CRM peers already building AI-bundled competitors.

ShareCRM sells customer-relationship software to Chinese companies. It benefits from China's rule that customer data must stay in China, which keeps out Salesforce and other foreign competitors. However, this same rule does not stop homegrown Chinese rivals like Alibaba, Tencent, and ByteDance from building their own CRM tools, often bundling them free or cheap into their existing products. The company's public numbers (revenue, growth rate, customer count) come only from ShareCRM itself and have not been checked by outside sources, and experts disagree on how much money it has raised by a factor of four, making it hard to judge whether the business actually makes money or will survive competition from better-funded local tech giants.

Why
01
AI pressure: Domestic rivals adding AI-agent layers (Xiaoshouyi's AI agent, Feishu/DingTalk AI bundling). Chinese CRM peers and office-suite platforms are wiring AI agents into their products, threatening to out-automate ShareCRM's workflow tools. Could AI do the core job? Only partly.
02
Bigger players: Tencent WeChat Work, Alibaba DingTalk, ByteDance Feishu, plus Yonyou and Kingdee. These platforms can bundle CRM into office suites at near-zero marginal cost, and none are barred by the rules that keep Salesforce out. Could a giant copy it? Probably.
03
What protects it. China's data-residency rules and Salesforce's 2022 exit block foreign CRM giants, leaving ShareCRM's China-specific integrations in place.
What would change this call
Tencent, Alibaba, or ByteDance ships a bundled AI-CRM inside WeChat Work, DingTalk, or Feishu. Would show the un-barred domestic giants are converting collaboration-suite dominance into direct CRM share loss for ShareCRM.
Xiaoshouyi, Yonyou, or Kingdee announces an AI-agent CRM layer with named enterprise customer wins. Would show a same-industry domestic peer pulling ahead on features and logos, not just Salesforce being barred.
ShareCRM files for a Hong Kong IPO or releases audited financials. Would let outsiders check real revenue growth, margins, and retention instead of relying on vendor-claimed figures.

Questions people ask
Is ShareCRM profitable in 2026?
No audited financials have surfaced. ShareCRM (Facishare) claims 18% revenue growth in 2024 and 85% client retention, but these are vendor-authored figures with no independent audit or IPO filing confirming profitability as of July 2026.
Could AI replace ShareCRM's product?
ShareCRM's own core tasks, data entry, lead enrichment, ticket triage, are exactly what generalized AI copilots from Salesforce or Microsoft could commoditize. The company began building its own AI agents since 2023 to defend against this, per its About Us page.
Who owns ShareCRM?
ShareCRM is privately held and venture-backed, with no parent company. Early investors include IDG Capital, Hillhouse Capital, CITIC Private Equity, Kingdee International, and CDH Baifu, with a $30M round from Guizhou Innovation Empowerment Big Data Investment Fund in July 2023.
Is Salesforce ShareCRM's biggest competitor?
Not really. Salesforce withdrew its local China service team in August 2022 and is barred by data-residency law, while un-barred domestic rivals like Xiaoshouyi, Tencent's WeChat Work, Alibaba's DingTalk, and ByteDance's Feishu pose the live competitive threat to ShareCRM as of 2026.
How much funding has ShareCRM raised?
ShareCRM raised a $75M round in August 2024 (backed by Eastern Bell Capital, C&D Emerging Investment, and Qiming Venture Partners) following a $30M round in July 2023. Cumulative totals conflict across sources between roughly $105M and higher figures, with no primary disclosure resolving the gap as of July 2026.
What is ShareCRM's valuation?
ShareCRM (Facishare) was named to Hurun's 2024 Global Unicorn List with a reported enterprise valuation of RMB 11 billion, about US$1.5B, a figure the company and Hurun-linked coverage repeat but which no primary financial filing has independently confirmed.
