The call

Teachmint's revenue jump comes from selling classroom hardware, not from schools paying more for its ERP, and Entab still beats it on the compliance depth that keeps schools locked in.

Teachmint makes software that schools use to manage student records and also sells interactive touchscreen panels for classrooms. Most of its money comes from selling those panels, not from software stickiness, which makes it easy for schools to switch to competitors like Entab or just use free tools like Google Classroom and AI chatbots for lesson planning. The company has not raised new money since 2021 and is losing ground to bigger rivals, so the next sign to watch is whether it gets acquired, takes a down-round, or shows that more schools are locking into its software for real rather than just renting hardware.

Why
01
AI pressure: Google Classroom and generic LLMs for lesson/quiz generation. Free AI tools can replicate quiz and lesson features, while Teachmint's own growth now leans on AI-branded hardware, not software lock-in. Could AI do the core job? Yes, likely.
02
Bigger players: Entab (CampusCare). Entab runs 1,200+ schools with deeper compliance and ERP features, undercutting Teachmint's claim to sticky school data. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. School ERP workflow lock-in and attendance, fee, and communication data schools are slow to migrate away from.
What would change this call
Teachmint raises a new priced round or discloses a down-round valuation. Would show whether the 2021 $500M valuation still holds or investors have marked it down.
FY26 financial filings (due late 2026) show ERP revenue share vs hardware revenue share. Would reveal if lock-in business is compounding or hardware still drives nearly all growth.
Entab or another ERP peer announces a large state/CBSE-level exclusive contract. Would confirm incumbents are winning the compliance-driven school contracts Teachmint needs.
