The call

Visme took its first outside capital in 2025 but has kept shrinking headcount and traffic since, while Canva and AI-native tools absorb the same market from below.

Visme lets people create presentations, infographics, and designs using templates and AI prompts without hiring a designer. The problem is that Canva, which is much bigger and better known, can copy everything Visme does, and free tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Gamma, and Beautiful.ai now do the same thing for little or no cost. The key question is whether Visme can hold onto its paying customers and stop shrinking, because right now it is losing both employees and visitors even after getting $8 million from a private equity firm in mid-2025.
