The call

Bitazza keeps its Thai license and banking access while trailing bank-backed rivals in volume and absorbing legal fallout from its Bitazza Global affiliate.

Bitazza is a cryptocurrency exchange based in Thailand that lets people buy and sell digital coins. It has a government license that keeps international competitors like Binance out of Thailand, but this same license protects all licensed Thai exchanges, not just Bitazza. The real problem is that Bitazza is much smaller than Bitkub, which already controls most of the market, and now faces stronger competitors backed by major Thai banks. The one thing that could hurt Bitazza most is if customers lose trust because of legal problems at its affiliated company Bitazza Global, or if those legal issues spread to the main Bitazza business itself.

Why
01
AI pressure: None apparent. No AI trading agent or model directly threatens licensed baht-crypto access; AI mainly pressures retail fee margins long term. Could AI do the core job? Unlikely.
02
Bigger players: Bitkub (SCB-backed). Bitkub, backed by Siam Commercial Bank, already runs roughly 75-77% of Thai exchange volume against Bitazza's much thinner flow. Could a giant copy it? Probably.
03
What protects it. Thai SEC exchange license plus direct THB banking rails keep out unlicensed offshore platforms, but every licensed Thai rival shares this same protection.

Questions people ask
Is Bitazza profitable in 2026?
Bitazza is a private company that does not disclose earnings. Data-broker estimates put revenue under $5 million, but these figures are unconfirmed aggregator guesses, not company disclosures, so no verified profitability figure exists as of July 2026.
Who is Bitazza's biggest competitor in Thailand?
Bitkub, part-owned by Siam Commercial Bank since November 2023, held roughly 75-77% of Thai licensed exchange trading volume as of May 2026, making it the dominant incumbent Bitazza trails as a distant follower.
Could AI replace Bitazza?
No: Bitazza's core value is its Thai SEC and Ministry of Finance broker license plus direct THB banking rails, regulatory and custody functions AI software cannot obtain or replicate. Support and fraud-monitoring tasks may automate, but the licensed-exchange moat itself is not AI-replaceable.
Who owns Bitazza?
Bitazza is privately held with no public ticker or stock listing as of July 2026, per ZoomInfo. Pitchbook lists Baboon VC among historical investors, but no confirmed new funding round or valuation has been reported since at least 2024.
Is Bitazza losing ground to bank-backed rivals?
Yes: Bitkub (SCB-backed, ~75-77% share as of May 2026), Binance TH (Gulf Energy joint venture launched January 2024), and Orbix (Kasikornbank-backed) are all better-capitalized domestic rivals inside Thailand's licensing wall, squeezing Bitazza's position as a smaller challenger.
What is 'Bitazza Global' and does it threaten Bitazza Thailand?
Bitazza Global was an offshore platform and BTZ token launched February 2022. In February 2026 Thai SEC charged affiliated executives with running it as an unlicensed exchange, and Thailand ordered it blocked from 22 March 2026, while Bitazza Thailand insists it is a legally separate, licensed operation.
