The call

Coralogix is growing fast on real architecture and enterprise lock-in, but Datadog's scale means the next few quarters of pricing moves and growth rates will decide who keeps ground.

Coralogix helps companies monitor and troubleshoot their software systems by collecting and storing log data in a way that costs less than rivals. It is hard to replace because it lets customers keep their data on their own servers and uses a technical approach (streaming architecture) that takes years to build well, giving it real advantages over competitors. However, Datadog, a company 10 times its size with vastly more resources, is copying these same ideas and has the sales force and brand to win big deals, so Coralogix's edge could narrow quickly if Datadog matches its pricing and technology over the next year or two.

Why
01
AI pressure: AI agent frameworks shipping native tracing (LangSmith, OpenAI, Anthropic tooling). If agent frameworks ship built-in tracing, teams may need less third-party log tooling, though AI agent sprawl is also driving new demand Coralogix's Olly targets. Could AI do the core job? Unlikely.
02
Bigger players: Datadog. Datadog has $1B+ R&D and shipped its own AI-agent features (Bits AI); it has not yet matched Coralogix's streaming or BYO-storage pricing. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. Streaming architecture, customer-owned storage, and roughly 30 enterprise contracts above $1M ARR create real switching costs.
What would change this call
Datadog announces a streaming or bring-your-own-storage pricing tier. Would show Datadog neutralizing Coralogix's cost and architecture advantage.
Coralogix's YoY growth rate in its next funding or revenue disclosure. Deceleration toward ~12 to 25% would show Datadog's competitive response is working.
Coralogix raises another mega-round within 18 months of the $200M Series F. Would show growth-at-all-costs spending outpacing its stated profitability plan.
Key numbers
  • $100M+ ARR, growing 60%+ YoY (2026-06-03)
  • ~30 customers spend over $1M annually (2026-06-03)
  • $200M Series F at $1.4B-$1.6B valuation (2026-06-03)
Named risks
  • Datadog's over $1B annual R&D budget could neutralize Coralogix's streaming/cost architecture edge. Severity: high
  • No disclosed path to profitability despite $550M raised and mega-round cadence as of June 2026. Severity: medium
  • 60%+ growth could decelerate toward the observability sector's ~12% baseline if incumbents copy the pricing model. Severity: medium
  • Conflicting valuation disclosures ($1.4B to $1.6B) create ambiguity around actual post-Series F standing. Severity: low

Questions people ask
Is Coralogix profitable in 2026?
Not yet. CEO Ariel Assaraf said in June 2026 that Coralogix has no near-term plan to raise more capital and is targeting profitability within a few years, while running the business with public-company financial discipline, per a June 3, 2026 TechCrunch interview.
Who is Coralogix's biggest competitor?
Datadog is Coralogix's primary incumbent rival. Datadog is publicly traded (NASDAQ: DDOG), spends over $1B annually on R&D, and was named a Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader for observability for the sixth straight year in July 2026, far outscaling private Coralogix.
Could AI replace Coralogix's product?
Unlikely soon. Coralogix positions itself as the data substrate AI agents need, offering full-fidelity telemetry rather than sampled logs. As of June 2026, over 50% of its enterprise customers already use its own AI agent Olly or their own LLM tools for incident investigation.
Who owns Coralogix?
Coralogix is privately held and venture-backed, with investors including Advent International, CPPIB, Greenfield Partners, Brighton Park Capital, and NewView Capital. It has raised $550M total as of its June 3, 2026 Series F round.
How much money has Coralogix raised?
Coralogix has raised $550M total as of June 3, 2026, including a $200M Series F at a valuation TechCrunch reported as $1.6B post-money and CB Insights listed in a $1.4B to $1.6B range.
Will Coralogix IPO soon?
No confirmed timeline. CEO Ariel Assaraf said in June 2026 the company plans to operate with the financial discipline of a public company but stopped short of committing to an IPO date, and stated it does not currently plan to raise more capital.
