The call

Devo has real plumbing and switching costs but is shrinking while Microsoft, CrowdStrike, and Palo Alto ship the same AI features at far larger scale.

Devo helps large companies collect and analyze security logs and alerts from their systems, and it has built real connections with major customers and government certifications that make it expensive for them to switch away. But Microsoft, CrowdStrike, Cisco, and Palo Alto all offer the same kind of service with AI helpers built in, and they are so much larger that they can bundle these tools into packages customers already buy or undercut Devo on price and features. The one thing that could save Devo is if its new AI product called Strike48 wins over a bunch of Fortune 500 companies in the next year or two, but early signs suggest the bigger companies are winning those deals instead.

Why
01
AI pressure: Microsoft Security Copilot, CrowdStrike Charlotte AI, Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM. Rivals shipped agentic SOC AI at the same time as Devo's own Strike48, so AI is not a separate threat, it is the battlefield. Could AI do the core job? Only partly.
02
Bigger players: Microsoft Sentinel, Cisco-Splunk, CrowdStrike Falcon SIEM, Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM. Giants bundle SIEM into E5 or bigger security suites and now ship the same agentic features Devo just launched. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. Deep log-ingestion plumbing and switching costs from 60+ MSSP partners and Fortune 500 integrations already in place.

Questions people ask
Is Devo Technology profitable in 2026?
No public data confirms profitability. Getlatka estimates Devo's 2024 ARR at roughly 70.6M dollars, up from an estimated 37.1M in 2023, but the company has raised no new capital since its June 2022 Series F, and its 2B dollar valuation has stayed frozen for about four years.
Has Devo Technology had layoffs?
No official layoff announcement has surfaced, but Getlatka reports headcount fell from about 651 employees in 2024 to roughly 530 by 2026, while PitchBook lists 461 employees as of 2025, suggesting contraction consistent with sector-wide AI-driven workforce trimming.
Could AI replace Devo Technology's SIEM products?
Devo itself is racing to own the AI-agent layer through its Strike48 platform, launched January 21, 2026, which automates alert triage and investigation. Its moat is log-ingestion infrastructure and Fortune 500 pipeline integrations, but rivals like Microsoft Sentinel and CrowdStrike ship equivalent agentic features at larger scale.
Who is Devo Technology's biggest competitor?
Devo competes against Microsoft Sentinel, Cisco-owned Splunk (acquisition closed 2024), CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Gen SIEM (named Visionary in the October 2025 Gartner SIEM Magic Quadrant), and Palo Alto Networks Cortex XSIAM, all of which have shipped competing agentic SOC products.
Who owns Devo Technology?
Devo is privately held and venture-backed, with investors including Insight Partners, Georgian, TCV, General Atlantic, Bessemer Venture Partners, Kibo Ventures, Eurazeo, and ISAI Cap Venture, following a 100M dollar Series F led by Eurazeo at a 2B dollar valuation in June 2022.
Did Devo Technology lose its Gartner Magic Quadrant ranking?
Devo was named a Visionary in the 2024 Gartner SIEM Magic Quadrant for the second consecutive year, but appears absent as 'Devo' from the October 8, 2025 SIEM Magic Quadrant, in which CrowdStrike is confirmed as a Visionary; Devo's 2025 status is unverified.
