The call

FieldAssist stays profitable with sticky enterprise accounts, but better-funded rivals Bizom and Salescode are chasing the same clients.

FieldAssist builds software that helps field sales and delivery workers organize jobs, routes, and data offline and on mobile. It is hard to replace because its engineering is built for work in the field where internet cuts out, and teams' daily routines lock them in, but two well-funded rivals named Bizom and Salescode are attacking the same customers with fresh capital and simpler interfaces, plus generic AI assistants could eventually handle the reporting part. The company's upside is capped by the founder keeping 67 percent control and not raising venture capital since 2017, so even if FieldAssist wins, the equity slice available to outside investors stays small.

Why
01
AI pressure: Generic AI copilots for sales analytics and reporting. AI copilots could automate the reporting FieldAssist sells, but none yet replace its offline data capture in rural India. Could AI do the core job? Only partly.
02
Bigger players: Bizom. Bizom raised $16M in Dec 2024 and is pushing its live platform into the same CPG accounts FieldAssist serves. Could a giant copy it? Probably.
03
What protects it. Twelve years of offline-first workflows and deep integration with enterprise CPG brands make switching costly and slow.
What would change this call
Bizom or Salescode announce new contracts with Britannia, Nivea, Mars, or Adani. Would show FieldAssist losing named anchor enterprise accounts to funded rivals.
FieldAssist announces its first institutional equity raise since August 2017. Would suggest bootstrapped model is under capital or competitive strain.
FieldAssist's annual AI feature release cadence (FAi Suite, Pulse AI) stalls or skips a year. Would indicate it can no longer match funded peers' product investment pace.

Questions people ask
Is FieldAssist profitable in 2026?
FieldAssist describes itself as bootstrapped and profitable, having raised only about $40,000 to $120,000 in early debt and grant funding from SIDBI and Start-Up Chile, with the last raise in August 2017. The company reports reaching roughly $8 million ARR with 650+ CPG brand clients by 2025, all without a venture equity round since 2017.
Who owns FieldAssist?
FieldAssist is founder-controlled. As of March 31, 2024, founders collectively held 67.1% equity, with CEO Paramdeep Singh Anand alone holding 34.4%. Outside investors held only about 7.4%, reflecting the company's bootstrapped history and no institutional venture round since a small 2017 raise.
What is FieldAssist's current ARR?
FieldAssist states it reached roughly $8 million ARR with 650+ CPG brand clients by 2025 on its own about-us page, while a company-sponsored press release cited by CB Insights put FY2025 ARR at close to $10 million with 300+ employees across 12+ countries.
Who are FieldAssist's biggest competitors?
FieldAssist's closest rivals are Bizom, which closed a Series B in December 2024 with about $16 million total funding, and Salescode (formerly Applicate AI), which has raised roughly $33.5 million since a October 2021 Series A. Both target the same India-based SFA/DMS market with venture backing FieldAssist lacks.
Could AI replace FieldAssist?
FieldAssist's defensibility rests on proprietary distributor transaction data, offline-first mobile engineering for low-connectivity markets, and workflow lock-in with enterprise FMCG clients like Nivea and Britannia. Rather than being displaced, FieldAssist is itself shipping AI features such as Pulse AI, launched in 2026, as an internal co-pilot layer.
Is FieldAssist a safe company to join?
FieldAssist has grown headcount from about 170 employees in 2022 to roughly 350 by 2026 and claims profitability without venture funding since 2017, appointing a COO in June 2024 to drive growth. However, VC-backed rivals Bizom and Salescode are actively competing for the same enterprise FMCG accounts.
