The call

Gojiberry is growing fast on rented data and a single hostile platform, with nothing yet that Clay or a frontier lab couldn't copy or absorb.

GojiberryAI helps sales teams find leads, score them, and draft messages using AI and LinkedIn data. The problem is that nothing about this is hard to copy: Clay, a much larger company worth $5 billion, already owns similar data and can add message writing in a few months, and the big AI labs (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic) are shipping their own agent tools that do the same work. The one thing that could change this is if GojiberryAI builds something customers can't get anywhere else (like proprietary data or a system they depend on for all their sales work), but so far it hasn't, and the company's own public claims about customer numbers don't match up, which makes buyers in this category trust all AI sales tools less.

Why
01
AI pressure: Frontier labs and LLM-native agent tools like Trigify, Explorium AgentSource. Every new model release narrows the gap between Gojiberry's prompts and what any team can build with off the shelf agent tooling. Could AI do the core job? Yes, likely.
02
Bigger players: Clay. Clay already owns the data and workflow layer at $150M ARR and 14,000+ customers; adding outbound execution on top is a roadmap decision, not a technical leap. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. Fast growth and low $99/month pricing win price sensitive teams quickly, before bigger players bother to compete here.
What would change this call
Clay announces or ships a native outbound execution feature (LinkedIn or email agent) built on its existing data layer. Would show the adjacent giant closing the window GojiberryAI depends on staying open.
LinkedIn tightens enforcement against third-party automation tools or suspends accounts using outreach bots. Would expose GojiberryAI's single-channel platform dependency as a live operational risk.
GojiberryAI announces a priced Series A or discloses audited revenue figures. Would test whether its self-reported $2.5M ARR and 2,000+ customer claims hold up to outside scrutiny.
Key numbers
  • $2.5M ARR, 30% MoM growth, 2,000+ customers (2026-06-24)
  • Clay: $150M ARR, $5B valuation, 14,000+ customers (2026-07-27)
  • $500K raised via convertible note (2025-12-31)
Named risks
  • No proprietary data or workflow lock-in; core product is LLM orchestration over 15+ rented data providers. Severity: high
  • Single-channel dependency on LinkedIn, a hostile third-party platform, for execution. Severity: high
  • Category-wide reputational contagion from 11x's inflated ARR and customer-loss scandal. Severity: medium
  • Internal customer-count inconsistency (500+ vs 2,000+) invites scrutiny of self-reported metrics. Severity: medium
  • Adjacent giant Clay could bolt on outbound execution within 12-18 months, closing the market window. Severity: high

Questions people ask
Is GojiberryAI profitable in 2026?
GojiberryAI says it is profitable as of June 2026, reporting growth from $0 to $2.5M ARR in 10 months with 30% month over month growth and 2,000+ customers, per the company's own YC page and a June 24, 2026 Substack teardown. These figures are company reported, not independently audited.
Who is GojiberryAI's biggest competitor?
Clay is the biggest threat: it reported roughly $150M ARR and a $5B valuation after a January 2026 tender, with 14,000+ customers including OpenAI and Anthropic. Clay owns the GTM data and workflow layer GojiberryAI depends on, and could add outbound execution itself.
Could AI replace GojiberryAI's own product?
GojiberryAI's core deliverable, signal detection, lead scoring, message drafting and reply handling, is itself LLM orchestration over rented third-party data. As frontier models improve and rivals like Trigify and Explorium ship native MCP agent integrations (2026), the 'better prompts' edge erodes fast.
How much funding has GojiberryAI raised?
CB Insights lists GojiberryAI's disclosed funding as $500K via a Convertible Note dated around December 31, 2025, with Y Combinator as the listed investor. No priced seed or Series A round has been publicly disclosed as of July 2026.
Does GojiberryAI have a moat against Clay or Apollo?
No proprietary data, integration lock-in, or system-of-record has been identified. GojiberryAI runs LinkedIn-only outreach using 15+ rented data providers, per a July 11, 2026 Salesforge comparison, leaving it exposed to incumbents like Clay and Apollo who already own the data layer.
What happened to 11x, and does it affect GojiberryAI?
11x, a rival AI SDR company backed by a16z and Benchmark at a ~$350M valuation, was reported by TechCrunch to have inflated ARR and customer claims, then lost 70-80% of its customers with legal scrutiny continuing into 2026. This has raised buyer skepticism across the whole AI SDR category, including GojiberryAI.
