The call

HUMAN leads bot detection rankings but hasn't updated its revenue figures in four years while Cloudflare bundles a free rival feature into infrastructure most customers already buy.

HUMAN Security protects websites from fake automated traffic and attacks using patterns it has learned over many years from watching 20 trillion signals weekly. It is hard to copy because of all that collected data and because big companies like OpenAI trust it, but Cloudflare offers similar protection for free as part of its internet service, and smaller rivals like DataDome do the same job almost as well for less money. The company will prove itself if its new products for AI-powered attacks actually bring in real revenue and grow its annual sales in the next year, which nobody outside the company has confirmed yet.

Why
01
AI pressure: Agentic AI traffic (autonomous browsing/shopping agents) plus AI-generated bots. AI agents create new traffic HUMAN must classify as good or bad, growing 1,300-6,900% in 2025, a threat and a sales pitch at once. Could AI do the core job? Unlikely.
02
Bigger players: Cloudflare (Turnstile bundled free into its CDN/WAF stack). Cloudflare gives away bot management inside infrastructure customers already buy, squeezing HUMAN on price for smaller accounts. Could a giant copy it? Probably.
03
What protects it. Decade-plus threat intelligence graph and 20T+ weekly signals feeding OpenAI and AWS Bedrock integrations.
What would change this call
HUMAN discloses updated ARR figure above $150-200M. Would show growth beyond stale 2022 baseline, easing pressure concerns.
Cloudflare Turnstile adds frontier-lab allowlist status matching HUMAN's OpenAI/Bedrock ties. Would show HUMAN's verification moat is being commoditized.
HUMAN headcount returns to net growth after 11.6% peak decline. Would show business is re-expanding rather than contracting.

Questions people ask
Is HUMAN Security profitable in 2026?
No profitability figure has been disclosed. HUMAN's last public ARR figure is over $100 million from the July 2022 PerimeterX merger, and no updated revenue or profit data has surfaced through July 2026, per the Businesswire merger release.
Who owns HUMAN Security?
HUMAN Security has been majority owned by Goldman Sachs' Merchant Banking Division since January 2022, when it led a $100M growth round alongside ClearSky Security and NightDragon, per SecurityWeek reporting on the deal.
Could AI replace HUMAN Security's bot detection?
Unlikely soon. OpenAI allowlists HUMAN to verify ChatGPT agent traffic and AWS Bedrock integrates its detection, per HUMAN's Q3 2025 product update from November 2025, positioning HUMAN as infrastructure AI labs rely on rather than replace.
Is HUMAN Security laying off staff?
Headcount has contracted rather than seen formal layoffs announced. Revelio Labs data shows about 715 employees as of December 2025, down 11.6% from a 2023 peak of roughly 808, with no specific layoff event disclosed.
Who is HUMAN Security's biggest competitor?
Cloudflare pressures HUMAN by bundling free Turnstile bot management into its CDN/WAF stack, while DataDome and Kasada sit as co-equal Leaders alongside HUMAN in Forrester's Q2 2026 Bot and Agent Trust Management Wave, released June 24, 2026.
Has HUMAN Security gone public?
No. As of the July 2026 research window, HUMAN Security remains privately held under Goldman Sachs Merchant Banking Division ownership with no IPO filing or new acquisition of the company found.
