The call

Infor holds its ground through deep customer lock-in and Koch's ownership, but sits a full size class below Oracle and SAP with a flat growth path.

Infor sells software that manages a company's money, inventory, and operations. It is hard to replace because businesses depend on it every day and switching to a competitor costs a fortune in time and retraining. However, Oracle and SAP are much bigger and are adding artificial intelligence to their own software faster than Infor is, which could lure away Infor's existing customers over the next few years. The deciding factor is whether Koch Industries decides to sell Infor, merge it with another company, or keep running it as a slow-growing subsidiary that prints cash but never gets larger.

Why
01
AI pressure: Generic LLM agents and frontier AI platforms. AI agents can't yet replace ERP's transactional core; Infor is adding AI agents as a feature, not facing replacement by one. Could AI do the core job? Unlikely.
02
Bigger players: Oracle and SAP, with NetSuite pressing from below in mid-market verticals. Oracle and SAP are far bigger and pushing AI-native ERP pitches at Infor's installed base, though no mass account losses are confirmed yet. Could a giant copy it? Probably.
03
What protects it. Deep lock-in from running customers' daily transactions in fashion, food and beverage, and distribution makes ripping out Infor costly and risky.
What would change this call
Oracle or SAP announces named-account wins converting existing Infor customers in fashion, food and beverage, or distribution. Would show rivals displacing Infor's installed base, not just competing for new logos.
Koch Industries announces a divestiture, IPO, or restructuring of Infor. Would signal Koch's capital allocation stance changing, a key stability marker.
Infor's Industry AI Agents and AWS agentic manufacturing tools ship and gain reported adoption through 2026. Would show Infor keeping pace on AI features versus Oracle and SAP.

Questions people ask
Is Infor profitable in 2026?
Infor does not publicly disclose profit figures since it is a private Koch Industries subsidiary. Third-party estimates put revenue near $3.6 billion as of July 2026, but no profitability data has been released since Koch completed full acquisition in April 2020.
Who owns Infor?
Infor is wholly owned by Koch Industries. Koch Equity Development first invested $2.68 billion for roughly two-thirds ownership in February 2017, then completed a full buyout of Golden Gate Capital's remaining stake on April 6, 2020, valuing Infor's assets at $11 to 13 billion.
Could AI replace Infor's ERP software?
Unlikely soon. Infor embeds GenAI and agentic AI, like Infor Industry AI Agents launched October 2025 and an AWS agentic manufacturing tool announced April 2026, as add-ons to its transactional ERP core rather than replacements, treating AI as an ingredient on top of proprietary vertical workflow data.
Who is Infor's biggest competitor?
Oracle and SAP are Infor's largest competitors by scale; Oracle alone reported $57.4 billion in FY2025 revenue with 12% cloud growth, according to Mordor Intelligence as of July 2026, dwarfing Infor's estimated $3.6 billion revenue. NetSuite competes heavily for mid-market new logos.
What is Infor's estimated revenue?
Third-party estimates from ZoomInfo put Infor's revenue at approximately $3.6 billion as of July 2026, while Owler's range estimate spans $1.0 to $5.0 billion as of January 2026. Infor does not publicly disclose audited figures as a private Koch subsidiary.
Is Infor growing or shrinking its workforce?
Infor's headcount is growing slowly overall, up 3.0% from 21,195 in 2023 to about 21,835 by December 2025 per Revelio Labs, but growth is concentrated offshore: India makes up 27% and the Philippines 12.5% of staff, versus 25.6% in the US as of June 2026.
