The call

JUSDA's physical network and Foxconn ties keep it running for years, but its equity story stays stuck inside a parent that keeps buying it in rather than spinning it out.

Jusda runs warehouses and supply chain services for Foxconn, mainly handling Apple iPhone parts and materials. It has real advantages: it owns millions of square meters of regulated storage space and has guaranteed access to Foxconn's huge assembly business, which is hard for competitors like DHL or Cainiao to replicate overnight. However, the company faces two threats: big tech companies are building their own AI-powered logistics software (like FourKites and Flexport) that could let suppliers skip the middleman, and Foxconn shows no signs of spinning Jusda out or taking it public despite years of IPO talk, meaning investors may never get liquid. The one thing that could change everything is a clear, filed plan to go public or a transparent buyback offer, which would give shareholders an actual way out.

Why
01
AI pressure: project44, FourKites, Flexport-style AI logistics platforms. These platforms sell the same visibility and customs-automation tools JUSDA built in-house, threatening its non-Foxconn customer pitch, not its captive core. Could AI do the core job? Unlikely.
02
Bigger players: DHL Supply Chain, UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Cainiao Network. All three run live global warehousing and freight networks that compete for the external, non-Foxconn brands JUSDA is trying to win. Could a giant copy it? Probably.
03
What protects it. Guaranteed logistics volume from Foxconn's Apple iPhone assembly plus 2.5 million sqm of bonded, customs-licensed warehouse space that outsiders can't quickly replicate.
What would change this call
JUSDA files a Hong Kong IPO prospectus. Would show the equity story is firming up after 5+ years of unfulfilled chatter.
Hon Hai further raises its ownership stake in JUSDA units beyond June 2026 levels. Would show continued inward consolidation rather than a path to independent equity.
JUSDA headcount stays flat or shrinks below the 2024 trough of about 2,235. Would show operational contraction or revenue pressure rather than recovery.
Key numbers
  • Hon Hai spent RMB 3.68bn buying more JUSDA shares (2026-06-02)
  • $28M move took JUSDA Singapore stake to 100% (2026-06-22)
  • Headcount 2,386 in Dec 2025, down from 2,477 in 2023 (2026-06-29)
Named risks
  • No IPO filed despite 2021 chatter; Hon Hai consolidating stakes instead, clouding equity liquidity path. Severity: high
  • Large gap between company-claimed 6,000+ employees and independently tracked ~2,386 as of Dec 2025. Severity: medium
  • External, non-captive customer book competes against far larger 3PLs and AI-native logistics platforms without Foxconn's protection. Severity: medium
  • Parent-level AI infrastructure capex volatility, FII stock fell over 27% from June 2026 peak, could affect capital allocation to JUSDA. Severity: medium

Questions people ask
Is JUSDA profitable in 2026?
JUSDA does not publicly disclose profit figures as a private company. Its parent Hon Hai continues injecting capital, including a RMB3.68bn share purchase approved 2026-06-02 and a $28M stake increase in Singapore/Mexico units on 2026-06-22, suggesting the group treats JUSDA as a strategic asset rather than a standalone reported profit center.
Will JUSDA IPO on the Hong Kong exchange?
Bloomberg reported in 2021-11-25 that JUSDA, valued near $4bn, sought pre-IPO financing with a Hong Kong listing possibly as early as 2022. As of mid-2026, no IPO has been filed; instead Hon Hai deepened ownership via a RMB3.68bn share purchase approved 2026-06-02, pointing toward consolidation, not a public listing.
Who owns JUSDA Supply Chain?
JUSDA is majority controlled by Foxconn's parent, Hon Hai Precision Industry (Taiwan, TWSE:2317). Hon Hai has been increasing its grip, executing a CNY3.86bn transaction into JUSDA on 2024-04-11 and raising its stake in JUSDA Singapore to 100% and JUSDA Mexico to 99.9% via a ~$28M injection on 2026-06-22.
Could AI replace JUSDA's logistics business?
AI tools can automate JUSDA's tracking, forecasting and route-optimization workflows, the same functions JUSDA itself uses in JusLink and claims cut inventory backlog by 30% in a 2025-10-23 case study. But its moat, 2.5 million+ sqm of bonded warehouses, customs licenses and captive Foxconn iPhone assembly logistics, is physical and contractual, not something AI software replicates.
How many employees does JUSDA have?
JUSDA's own site claims 6,000+ global employees, but independent LinkedIn-derived tracker Revelio Labs counted roughly 2,386 employees as of December 2025, down 3.7% from 2,477 in 2023 with a trough of 2,235 in Q3 2024. The gap between the vendor claim and third-party data remains unresolved as of 2026-06-29.
Who is JUSDA's biggest competitor?
In the external, non-captive market JUSDA competes with DHL Supply Chain (about 1,300 warehouses, 188,000 employees), UPS Supply Chain Solutions, and Cainiao Network, Alibaba's logistics arm, which like JUSDA is a platform logistics unit of a larger tech group also pursuing a Hong Kong IPO since 2021.
