The call

LeadSquared holds its ground in Indian BFSI and healthcare CRM through compliance depth, but growth has slowed sharply and AI agents now do cheaply what its flagship features once charged for.

LeadSquared sells customer management software to banks, insurance companies, and hospitals in India, with deep knowledge of their rules and workflows. Zoho (a bigger India-based rival) offers similar tools more cheaply, and new AI assistants can now do much of what LeadSquared's AI features do, making it harder for LeadSquared to stand out. The company's growth has slowed sharply (from 33% to 17% yearly), it still loses money on every dollar it makes, and its value from a 2022 funding round looks hard to justify on current numbers. Watch whether big customers stick around and keep buying more, or if they switch to Zoho or AI-first tools instead.

Why
01
AI pressure: Generic AI agents (e.g. OpenAI ChatGPT Agent) doing lead-qualification and ticket-resolution. AI agents can now do the lead-scoring and ticket-triage work that LeadSquared sells as its AI layer, without a CRM subscription. Could AI do the core job? Only partly.
02
Bigger players: Zoho CRM. Zoho is bigger, bootstrapped, and sits in the same Indian CRM market; it has not yet built a dedicated BFSI/healthcare product to match LeadSquared. Could a giant copy it? Probably.
03
What protects it. Deep compliance workflows and 163 integrations wired into BFSI and healthcare customers like LIC and Bajaj Capital make switching costly.
What would change this call
LeadSquared FY26 revenue growth figure, expected Sep to Nov 2026. Growth above 20% shows moat holding; below 10% shows erosion versus Zoho and AI entrants.
Zoho launches a dedicated BFSI or healthcare CRM product. Would show Zoho directly contesting LeadSquared's strongest vertical stronghold.
LeadSquared files for IPO or misses the co-founder's stated 12 to 18 month window. Filing shows financial confidence; a miss suggests weaker growth or investor caution.

Questions people ask
Is LeadSquared profitable in 2026?
No. LeadSquared still posts losses, though it cut them 45% year over year in FY25 (year ended March 2025), spending 1.40 rupees for every rupee of revenue versus 1.74 rupees in FY24, per RoC filings reported by Entrackr on 2025-10-14.
Who is LeadSquared's biggest competitor?
Zoho CRM, also India-based but larger and bootstrapped, competes directly in LeadSquared's BFSI and healthcare CRM niche. LeadSquared's revenue growth slowed to 17% in FY25 (ended March 2025) while Zoho remains unblocked and present in the same market, per Entrackr.
Could AI replace LeadSquared's product?
LeadSquared's own flagship AI tools, Lexi AI ticket agents (launched 2026-03) and FloStack lead-qualification (marketed as standalone by 2026-06), overlap directly with tasks OpenAI's ChatGPT Agent, released 2026-07-29, now performs generically.
Who owns LeadSquared?
LeadSquared is private and venture-backed. It became India's 103rd unicorn in June 2022 after a $153M Series C led by WestBridge Capital with Gaja Capital participating; no new funding round has been reported since, per Lapaas Voice.

LeadSquared's operating revenue was 326 crore rupees (about $39M) in FY25, the year ended March 2025, up 17% from 279 crore rupees in FY24, according to RoC filings reported by Entrackr on 2025-10-14.
