The call

Made-in-China.com is growing and profitable, but it sells the same thing Alibaba sells at a fraction of the scale, with no wall keeping Alibaba's AI push out.

Made-in-China.com helps buyers around the world find and contact factories in China to purchase products. It makes money by taking fees on deals and charging suppliers to list their products. The main reason it could disappear is that Alibaba.com is much bigger, already serves the same customers, and is building AI tools (called Incommerce11) to automate the whole process of matching buyers with sellers, which is exactly what Made-in-China.com does. Made-in-China.com has some protection from its database of verified suppliers and its payment safeguard system, but neither is hard for Alibaba to copy. The one thing that could save the company is if its verified-supplier data and trusted-payment system become so valuable that buyers choose it over Alibaba's AI tools anyway, but that is uncertain.

Why
01
AI pressure: Alibaba's Incommerce11 AI-agent rollout on 1688/Alibaba.com. If AI agents become the default way buyers find and vet suppliers, Made-in-China's search-and-match layer gets skipped entirely. Could AI do the core job? Only partly.
02
Bigger players: Alibaba Group. Alibaba runs a bigger version of the same marketplace and can copy any feature Made-in-China ships, including its own AI tools. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. Verified-supplier data, escrow payment infrastructure, and a 9-quarter streak of paid-membership growth buyers already trust.

Questions people ask
Is Made-in-China.com profitable in 2026?
Yes. Parent Focus Technology reported FY2025 consolidated revenue of CNY 1.921 billion, up 15.1% YoY, and net profit attributable to shareholders of CNY 504-505 million, up 11.6% YoY, as of December 31, 2025.
Could AI replace Made-in-China.com?
Its core buyer-supplier matching workflow is directly exposed to generic AI search and agentic sourcing tools, especially Alibaba's Incommerce11 AI-agent rollout in 2026, though proprietary verified-supplier data and its escrow-based Secured Trading Service give it some defensible ground.
Who is Made-in-China.com's biggest competitor?

What is SourcingAI and when did Made-in-China.com launch it?
