The call

Objectivity no longer exists as a separate company, and the bespoke-coding work it once sold is now on Accenture's own AI chopping block.

Objectivity was a software development and testing company that Accenture bought and merged into itself in May 2023. The services Objectivity provided, like writing custom code and testing software, are exactly the kinds of jobs that AI coding tools can now do cheaper and faster, and Accenture has no special advantage or lock-in to protect this work from being automated or outsourced further. The key thing to watch is whether Accenture's earnings reports over the next couple years show the former Objectivity teams growing, staying flat, or shrinking, especially at its offices in Poland where those workers are most vulnerable to AI replacement.

Why
01
AI pressure: AI coding and QA automation tools (GitHub Copilot-class agents inside Accenture's own delivery stack). Bespoke coding, QA, and staff augmentation, Objectivity's old bread and butter, are exactly what Accenture is now automating and cutting. Could AI do the core job? Yes, likely.
02
Bigger players: Accenture (NYSE: ACN). Accenture bought Objectivity outright in 2023 and is now trimming the very bespoke-dev roles it acquired, in favor of AI-oriented staff. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. None apparent: no independent brand, no proprietary data, no regulated-vertical lock-in left after full absorption into Accenture.
What would change this call
Accenture FY2026 quarterly results mention further restructuring or headcount cuts. Would show ongoing elimination of roles like those Objectivity brought in.
Wrocław delivery centre headcount changes reported on LinkedIn or Polish tech press. Would show whether ex-Objectivity teams are shrinking under AI coding tool pressure.
Accenture names UK/Poland platform-engineering units as growing vs consolidating in filings. Would show if ex-Objectivity staff moved into AI-growth practice or are being phased out.

  • Core pre-acquisition service lines (bespoke dev, QA, low-code) are directly substitutable by AI coding tools. Severity: high
  • Revenue and headcount fully consolidated into Accenture, removing any standalone performance signal for evaluation. Severity: medium

Questions people ask
Is Objectivity still an independent company?
No. Accenture announced an agreement to acquire Objectivity on May 9, 2023 and completed the acquisition on May 17, 2023. The UK/Poland bespoke software consultancy, founded 1991 with a Wroclaw nearshore center from 2005, is now fully absorbed into Accenture's platform engineering practice.
Who owns Objectivity now?
Accenture (NYSE: ACN) owns Objectivity, having completed the acquisition on May 17, 2023. Deal terms were not disclosed. Roughly 700 to 900 Objectivity staff, about 400 of them in the UK, joined Accenture's Cloud First and platform engineering practice at that time.
Could AI replace the work Objectivity used to do?
Largely yes. Objectivity's core lines, bespoke software development, staff augmentation, QA, and low-code delivery, sit directly in the AI-exposure zone. Rival Wroclaw-based Brights already markets AI-augmented requirements analysis, code generation and QA as a differentiator in the same nearshore market.
Who are Objectivity's biggest competitors in Poland's nearshore software market?
Peers named in a March 2026 industry ranking include Software Mind (350-plus clients), Boldare (founded 2004, Gliwice/Warsaw/Wroclaw), Brights (AI-augmented workflows), and Pragmatic Coders (Krakow, fintech/medtech/mobility focus). Objectivity itself was absorbed into Accenture in May 2023 and no longer competes independently.
Is Objectivity profitable?
Objectivity's finances have not been separately reported since Accenture completed the acquisition on May 17, 2023; its results are fully consolidated into Accenture's accounts. Accenture reported about $69.7 billion in FY2025 revenue, up 7% year over year, as of October 1, 2025.
What did Objectivity actually do before Accenture bought it?
Objectivity was a Coventry, UK-headquartered consultancy founded in 1991, with a major Wroclaw, Poland nearshore center from 2005 and operations in Germany and Mauritius, offering bespoke software development, staff augmentation, cloud and data engineering on Azure, machine learning, DevOps, and low-code solutions.
