IT services and system integrators
244 companies assessed. 129 of them, 52.9%, sit in the two least protected bands, against 53.3% across all 10,525 companies assessed.
IT services companies are splitting hard into two groups. On one side are firms tied to specific systems, sovereign contracts, or a huge existing customer base that keeps renewing out of habit and dependency, like Otsuka Corporation, JBCC Holdings, Crimson Logic, and the big US government contractors Leidos and CACI. These hold steady because AI tools do not replace the relationship or the security clearance, they just make the work behind it cheaper to deliver. On the other side are companies whose whole business is billable hours of coding, testing, or call center staffing, and that model is getting squeezed from both ends: AI coding assistants and agentic customer service tools shrink the hours that can be billed, while bigger rivals like Accenture, TCS, Cognizant, and EPAM use the same tools to underprice smaller shops. Atos, DXC, Endava, Globant, Concentrix, TTEC, Conduent and Foundever all show this pattern, either in shrinking revenue, guidance cuts, or job losses tied directly to AI-native competitors. The deciding dynamic is simple: if a company owns a government relationship, a national system, or a huge captive customer base, AI is a cost tool. If a company's product is generic engineering or agent hours sold by the seat, AI is a competitor eating its market from inside and outside at once.

- Are IT services companies dying because of AI?
- Not the ones tied to government contracts, sovereign systems, or huge captive customer bases like Leidos, CACI, or Crimson Logic. The ones at risk are outsourcers selling generic coding or call center hours by the seat, like Endava, TTEC, and Foundever, where AI tools directly replace the billable work.
- Which IT outsourcing companies are losing the most ground to AI?
- Concentrix, TTEC, Conduent, and Foundever are all seeing AI-native customer service platforms and bigger rivals take share, with guidance cuts and job losses already reported. Endava and Beyondsoft show the same pattern in software outsourcing.
- Is DXC Technology going to survive?
- DXC has been shrinking every year since 2017 and faces pressure on two fronts, larger rivals like Accenture and TCS winning the same contracts, and AI automation cutting the billable labor pool it relies on. Its standing is listed as protection under test.
- What Japanese IT integrators are doing well despite AI?
- Otsuka Corporation and JBCC Holdings are both holding strong, with Otsuka showing no visible customer loss across 1.3 million small business clients and JBCC reported as gaining share against its main competitor Otsuka Shokai.
- Why are call center and BPO companies struggling right now?
- Companies like TTEC, Concentrix, Conduent, and Foundever run per-seat human staffing models that AI agent platforms like Sierra, Decagon, and Salesforce Agentforce can now handle directly, while larger scaled rivals also compete for the same shrinking pool of contracts.
- What happened to Sungard Availability Services?
- It went bankrupt in 2022 and its customers and staff were absorbed by 11:11 Systems and 365 Data Centers, while AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud made its old IT resilience model obsolete.
- Any of the billable-hour outsourcers (Endava, Globant, TMA Solutions, Beyondsoft) reporting flat or falling headcount alongside flat revenue
- Large scaled BPO firms like Teleperformance or Concentrix announcing direct partnerships with AI agent vendors instead of fighting them
- Government IT contractors like Leidos, CACI, or Indra Sistemas losing a security-cleared contract to a new entrant
