The call

A two-person QA layer sits above support suites that are actively buying their way into doing the same job in-house.

Redapto built a tool that uses AI to catch mistakes and fix how customer support agents handle tickets. The problem: Zendesk and Salesforce are putting the same AI quality checks directly into their own software suites (Zendesk added Klaus and Forethought in early 2026, and Salesforce is buying Intercom and Fin for roughly $3.6 billion). Redapto has no special data, no lock-in with other systems, and no way to stop new AI models from doing the same work. What could matter: if Redapto can prove it works across many different support platforms at once, or if the Salesforce deal takes much longer to close than expected (aimed for late 2027), there might still be room for a standalone tool that doesn't force customers to rip out and replace their existing systems.

Why
01
AI pressure: Zendesk's Klaus + Forethought AI QA. Zendesk folded Klaus and Forethought into its suite in March 2026, doing Redapto's QA job natively for existing customers. Could AI do the core job? Yes, likely.
02
Bigger players: Salesforce (Intercom/Fin). Salesforce signed a $3.6B deal for Intercom/Fin in June 2026, aiming to bundle AI support and QA into one suite by late FY2027. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. No protection identified yet; survival depends on becoming a vendor-neutral auditor across Zendesk, Salesforce, and Fin, not proven so far.
What would change this call
Whether Salesforce completes the Intercom/Fin acquisition around Q4 FY2027. Would make native AI-QA a standard bundled suite feature, squeezing Redapto's wedge.
Whether Redapto announces any named enterprise customer or case study within a year. Would show real traction rather than a feature awaiting acquisition.
Whether Redapto raises a seed or Series A round in the next two quarters. Would indicate survival runway and investor confidence beyond the $500K pre-seed.

Questions people ask
Is Redapto profitable in 2026?
No profitability data exists. Redapto has disclosed no audited revenue as of May 2026 and has raised only $500K pre-seed, announced December 5, 2025, led by Y Combinator. It remains a two-person, pre-seed startup with no confirmed customer revenue.
Could AI replace Redapto's own product?
Redapto's core offering, an AI layer that audits support conversations for hallucinations and SOP gaps, is the same function Zendesk (via its Forethought integration closed March 2026) and Salesforce (Intercom/Fin deal signed June 15, 2026) are building natively into their platforms.
Who founded Redapto?
Redapto was founded in 2025 by Anirudh Pupneja (CEO, formerly Coinbase) and Cheril Shah (formerly Adobe and Amazon Science), per Y Combinator's company page. It launched publicly through Y Combinator's Fall 2025 batch on October 23, 2025.
Who owns Redapto?
Redapto is privately, founder-owned with no parent company. It raised $500K in pre-seed funding led by Y Combinator, announced December 5, 2025, and total disclosed funding remained $500K as of Inc42's May 28, 2026 report.
Who is Redapto's biggest competitor?
Redapto's biggest threats are incumbents absorbing its niche: Zendesk closed its Forethought AI-QA acquisition integration in March 2026, and Salesforce signed a ~$3.6B deal to acquire Intercom/Fin on June 15, 2026, both bundling equivalent QA features natively.
Has Redapto raised money beyond its seed round?
As of Inc42's May 28, 2026 update, Redapto's total disclosed funding remained at $500K, the pre-seed round led by Y Combinator announced December 5, 2025. No follow-on seed or Series A round has been publicly reported.
