The call

Workiz keeps current customers through workflow lock-in, but slow funding and cheaper AI-native rivals leave new growth exposed.

Workiz bundles phone, payments, scheduling, and invoicing for small repair and service businesses, which is hard to replace once a company has switched all its tools over. But two direct competitors named Housecall Pro and Jobber do almost the same thing at the same price, and newer AI-powered programs like FieldCamp and ServiceAgent are cheaper by far, making it easier for new customers to pick someone else. The real question is whether Workiz can raise new money or get bought within the next year, because it has not grown fast enough lately to stand on its own.

Why
01
AI pressure: AI-native FSM entrants like FieldCamp, QuoteIQ, ServiceAgent. AI-native rivals price 80%+ below Workiz and copy its call-answering and scheduling tools, targeting the same small crews. Could AI do the core job? Only partly.
02
Bigger players: ServiceTitan. ServiceTitan is buying smaller field service platforms (Conduit Tech, Sept 2025) to move downmarket into Workiz's territory. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. Existing customers stay locked in through integrated phone, payments, scheduling, and invoicing that are costly to rip out.
What would change this call
Workiz completes a priced funding round or is acquired within 12 months. Would show whether growth reaccelerated or the company is losing independent momentum.
ServiceTitan announces another SMB-tier acquisition (following Conduit Tech). Would show ServiceTitan consolidating the segment Workiz depends on.
A named customer publicly switches from Workiz to FieldCamp or QuoteIQ. Would confirm AI-native low-price entrants are actually winning displacements, not just marketing claims.

Questions people ask
Is Workiz profitable in 2026?
No audited figures are public. Third-party estimates from Latka put 2024 revenue around $29.8M, up from about $13.7M in 2023, but Workiz has not disclosed profitability, and no new funding round since November 2021 leaves its financial health unclear as of July 2026.
Could AI replace Workiz?
Workiz is automating its own front-desk and dispatch functions with AI (Genius Answering, launched 2026), which shows those tasks are automatable industry-wide. AI-native rivals like FieldCamp and QuoteIQ already undercut Workiz on price by over 80 percent as of April 2026, per QuoteIQ's own comparison page.
Who is Workiz's biggest competitor?
ServiceTitan dominates the enterprise tier and has acquired FieldRoutes (Jan 2022), Convex (April 2024), and Conduit Tech (Sept 2025), consolidating downmarket toward Workiz's segment. Housecall Pro and Jobber compete directly at Workiz's own small-business tier.
Has Workiz raised new funding recently?
No. Workiz's last priced funding round was a $40M Series C in November 2021 led by Lead Edge Capital at an implied valuation of roughly $200M. As of July 2026, Crustdata data shows a 56-month gap with no new round reported.
Who owns Workiz?
Workiz is privately held and venture-backed, with no public listing or parent company as of 2026. Investors include Lead Edge Capital, G Squared, La Maison Partners, Aleph Venture Capital, Magenta Venture Partners, and New Era Capital Partners across four funding rounds totaling roughly $60M.
How many customers does Workiz have?
Workiz claims over 120,000 service professionals use its platform as of its 2026 marketing pages, up from a claimed 100,000-plus in February 2021. These figures are vendor-reported and not independently audited.
