The call

A near-delisted, cash-starved platform trying to buy its way into AI while the market it once served is run by Beike.

Fangdd helps real estate agents find buyers and sellers in China by matching listings to leads, but its revenue has collapsed 90% since 2019 and it is running out of cash. The company is not hard to beat: its main rival, Beike (also called KE Holdings), already owns the market and has built AI tools that do the same matching work automatically, which means Fangdd's core business is exactly what AI is designed to replace. The one thing that could save Fangdd is if its new AI system acquisition (bought in September 2025) produces real, measurable results and new revenue before January 19, 2027, when the company faces removal from Nasdaq and the loss of investor access, but there is no sign yet that this will happen.

Why
01
AI pressure: KE Holdings (Beike). Beike already runs large scale AI matching and agent tools; Fangdd just bought an undisclosed AI asset in 2025 with nothing shipped yet. Could AI do the core job? Yes, likely.
02
Bigger players: KE Holdings (Beike). Beike dominates China property transactions while Fangdd's revenue fell from $517M in 2019 to about $50M in 2025. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. None apparent: cash is nearly gone and headcount fell over 90%, leaving little to defend with.

Fangdd's share price cures Nasdaq minimum-bid deficiency by Jan 19, 2027. Shows whether Fangdd avoids delisting or loses US listing and liquidity.
Disclosed revenue or customer data tied to the Sept/Oct 2025 AI asset acquisition. Shows whether the AI purchase produces real product traction or was just financial engineering.
Further draws on the $250M shelf or new convertible notes before end of 2026. Shows continued cash burn and shareholder dilution rather than stabilization.

Questions people ask
Is Fangdd Network Group profitable in 2025?
No. Fangdd reported FY2025 revenue of RMB354.8 million (about $50-51M) alongside a net loss of RMB86.0 million, as of December 31, 2025. Auditors also flagged going-concern doubt in the same annual report, filed May 6, 2026.
Will Fangdd (DUO) get delisted from Nasdaq?
Fangdd received a Nasdaq minimum-bid-price deficiency notice on July 22, 2026, giving it a 180-day cure window until January 19, 2027. It had briefly regained compliance in mid-2025 before falling out again, making delisting a live risk.
Could AI replace what Fangdd does?
Fangdd's core workflow, matching agents to listings and lead generation, is exactly the kind of task AI commoditizes. Rival KE Holdings (Beike) had already integrated proprietary LLMs into agent tools for real-time analysis and recommendations by 2025-2026, ahead of Fangdd's own AI push.
Who is Fangdd's biggest competitor?
KE Holdings Inc. (Beike, NYSE: BEKE), which posted roughly RMB3.4 trillion in GTV with about 59,000 active stores and over 470,000 agents in Q3 2025, dwarfing Fangdd's approximately $50M FY2025 revenue and 144 employees.
Who controls Fangdd Network Group?
Founder and CEO Xi Zeng controls Fangdd through super-voting Class C shares issued to his entity ZX International Ltd, most recently expanded in a December 29, 2025 transaction that also converted a $34.3M note into roughly 33 million Class A shares.
What is Fangdd's AI acquisition about?
On September 30, 2025, Fangdd announced it was 'Powered by AI System' after agreeing to buy AI technology assets from an undisclosed BVI company for $34.32 million, financed via a zero-interest convertible note issued October 24, 2025, with no disclosed product results yet.
