HealthifyMe
AI-driven nutrition and fitness coaching app now pivoting into GLP-1 clinical care.
HealthifyMe replaced most human coaches with AI to cut losses, and is now betting its future on GLP-1 partnerships while its India revenue keeps shrinking.
HealthifyMe helps people lose weight by logging food photos and chatting with AI coaches. The problem: big rivals like Noom already do this, and anyone with ChatGPT can replicate the core idea. HealthifyMe proved this themselves by replacing 600 human coaches with AI, which cut costs but also proved the service is easy to copy. The one thing that could matter is their new GLP-1 program, where they partner with Novo Nordisk to prescribe weight-loss drugs alongside coaching. That is harder to copy because it requires medical licenses and regulatory approval. But this new business is barely two years old and makes up less than 2% of revenue, so it has not proven itself yet. The real test comes in 2026: if their US business grows to tens of millions of dollars as promised, the medical angle might work. If not, they are mostly just another AI health app in a crowded field.
India revenue figure for FY26 when reported. Shows whether the core India business keeps shrinking for a third straight year.
Any change or renegotiation in the Novo Nordisk India partnership terms. Shows whether the GLP-1 medical moat is stable or dependent on pharma goodwill.
- India revenue fell 14% YoY to Rs177cr in FY25
- Coaching staff cut from 1,000+ to 300-400
- US ARR only $1-2M as of Dec 2025
- India core revenue has declined two straight years, FY23 to FY25, down 14% YoY in FY25.
- Core food-logging and chat coaching workflow is AI-replaceable, proven by company's own 70% coach cut.
- GLP-1 pivot depends on external pharma partner terms and India drug regulation.
- Coach turnover from automation reported to hurt user trust and retention.
- US ARR target of double-digit millions by end 2026 is a self-set, unproven milestone.

- Is HealthifyMe profitable in 2026?
- HealthifyMe's net loss narrowed from ₹88 crore in FY24 to ₹4 crore in FY25, but this came mainly from cutting coach headcount, not revenue growth. India revenue fell 14% YoY to ₹177 crore in FY25, as reported February 2026.
- Could AI replace HealthifyMe's human coaches?
- It already has: HealthifyMe cut human coaches from over 1,000 to 300-400 as its AI assistant Ria and voice tool Ria Voice, built on OpenAI, absorbed much of the coaching workload, per reporting dated February 2026.
- Who is HealthifyMe's biggest competitor?
- Noom already bundles GLP-1 prescriptions with AI coaching in the US, the exact market HealthifyMe is now targeting for growth, launching its Microdose GLP-1Rx Program in November 2025 ahead of HealthifyMe's own HealthifyRx push.
- Who owns HealthifyMe?
- HealthifyMe is privately held and VC-backed, founded in 2012 in Bangalore by Tushar Vashisht, Mathew Cherian and Sachin Shenoy. Investors include Khosla Ventures and LeapFrog Investments, which led a $20 million round closed in October 2024.
- Is HealthifyMe's US expansion succeeding?
- As of December 2025 the CEO said the US business ran at $1-2 million ARR, targeting 'double-digit millions' by end of 2026 and aiming for the US to become HealthifyMe's primary revenue source by 2027, a target not yet confirmed as met.
- What is HealthifyRx and is it working?
- HealthifyRx, launched April 2025, is a clinically supervised GLP-1 weight-loss program combining prescription drugs, AI, and human coaching. The CEO said in December 2025 it already makes up 'double-digit percentages' of revenue, alongside a new Novo Nordisk India partnership.
