The call

SellRaze runs a well-liked listing tool in a crowded field, with its future resting on whether an unshipped marketplace pivot lands before API access or copycats catch up.

SellRaze uses artificial intelligence to turn photos into product listings and automatically post them to six different selling platforms like eBay, Poshmark, and Facebook Marketplace. The main problem is that what SellRaze does is not hard to copy: other companies like Vendoo and List Perfectly already do this, basic AI from companies like OpenAI can generate listings just as well, and the selling platforms themselves could build this feature directly into their own apps. The one thing that could save SellRaze is if its plan to launch its own independent marketplace succeeds and attracts real sellers, but that would put it head-to-head against much bigger companies like eBay and Poshmark, which is extremely difficult.

Why
01
AI pressure: GPT-4o, Gemini, and Claude style vision models doing photo-to-listing text generation. Any lab with vision plus language models can copy the photo-to-listing trick; the hard part is keeping six marketplace logins working, not the AI. Could AI do the core job? Yes, likely.
02
Bigger players: eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Facebook Marketplace. SellRaze depends on API access it does not own; Poshmark connections already broke for users in May 2025 reviews, and any platform can tighten bot rules anytime. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. Six live, working marketplace integrations plus a habit-forming daily listing app used by 200,000+ resellers, both slow for a new entrant to copy at once.
What would change this call
Whether SellRaze's own proprietary marketplace (announced Oct 2025) ships with real buyer-seller transactions by Q3 2026. Shows if SellRaze can escape dependence on eBay, Poshmark, Depop APIs.
Whether Poshmark, eBay, Mercari, or Depop further restrict automated listing or API access beyond the May 2025 Poshmark failures. Shows SellRaze's core product is vulnerable to platform policy it does not control.
Whether Vendoo or List Perfectly publicly launch a matching AI photo-to-listing feature or further price cuts within a year. Shows the category is racing to commoditize SellRaze's main selling point.

No confirmed profitability or audited revenue has been disclosed. SellRaze runs subscription tiers priced roughly $24 to $130 per month as of June 2026, per SaaSWorthy, and claims 500,000+ sellers on its site as of February 19, 2026, but has not published financial results.
Who founded SellRaze?
SellRaze was founded in 2023 by CEO Jeff Mao and CTO Tyler Ma, who met as roommates at the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech, according to a Tech Square ATL profile published in 2025.
Who is SellRaze's biggest competitor?
SellRaze competes in a crowded crosslisting-tool category against Vendoo, List Perfectly, Flyp, Crosslist, PrimeLister, Nifty AI, and Closo. Vendoo and List Perfectly are described as the longest established incumbents in industry comparisons as of June 2026.
Could AI replace SellRaze's product?
SellRaze's core feature, AI photo-to-listing and cross-posting, is largely commodity computer-vision and LLM tech. eBay shipped its own AI listing tool and Meta launched AI listing tools for Facebook Marketplace, both reported around March 2026, encroaching directly on SellRaze's core function.
Does SellRaze have its own marketplace yet?
SellRaze announced plans for a proprietary peer-to-peer marketplace with video and social-style discovery at its Y Combinator Launch on October 27, 2025. As of February 20, 2026, this marketplace remained unshipped and the product was still primarily a cross-listing tool.
Who owns SellRaze?
SellRaze Inc. is a private, founder-led company backed by Y Combinator as part of its Fall 2025 batch. It was founded by Jeff Mao and Tyler Ma in 2023 and remains independent as of mid-2026, with no acquisition reported.
