The call

Unsiloed has a real accuracy edge on paper and some bank customers, but the edge is self-measured, shrinking, and Reducto has far more money to close it.

Unsiloed helps companies turn paper and PDFs into clean data that AI systems can use. Right now it claims to be more accurate than Google, Amazon, and Microsoft's free tools, and better than a well-funded competitor called Reducto. However, the big AI companies (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) are making their own AI models better at this job every few months, and Reducto has already won over many major bank customers. The one thing that could save Unsiloed is if banks lock it into their most important systems and decide it is too risky to switch, but that has not happened yet and may never happen.

Why
01
AI pressure: Frontier models like GPT-5.5, Claude Opus 4.7, Gemini 3 Pro with native document parsing. Each new model release closes Unsiloed's claimed accuracy lead by a few points, on benchmarks Unsiloed itself ran. Could AI do the core job? Yes, likely.
02
Bigger players: AWS Textract, Google Document AI, Azure Document Intelligence, plus funded rival Reducto. Cloud giants bundle parsing free with their platforms, and Reducto just raised $75M to chase the same enterprise deals. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. Deployments inside banks that are air-gapped and wired into existing workflows, which are annoying to rip out.
What would change this call
Reducto announces 2+ Fortune 500 regulated-finance customers within 12 months. Would show Unsiloed's air-gapped banking wedge is being taken by a better-funded direct rival.
Next GPT, Claude, or Gemini release scores within 2 points of Unsiloed on olmOCR-Bench. Would show the accuracy edge Unsiloed relies on has closed.
Unsiloed announces a Series A or discloses a valuation within 12 months. Would show whether investors believe the regulated-finance moat is holding.
Key numbers
  • Unsiloed claims 88.0 on olmOCR-Bench vs GPT-5.5's 84.6 (2025-11-14)
  • Reducto scored 66.0 on the same benchmark, per Unsiloed's own test (2025-11-14)
  • Reducto raised $108M total, including $75M Series B (2026-02-01)
Named risks
  • Frontier model releases (GPT-5.5, Claude Opus, Gemini 3 Pro) rapidly closing Unsiloed's benchmark accuracy edge. Severity: high
  • Vast funding gap versus Reducto's $108M war chest limits sales, enterprise expansion, and R&D pace. Severity: high
  • Customer, revenue, and benchmark claims are entirely self-reported with no independent third-party verification found. Severity: medium
  • Small early-stage team (single to low-double digits) still hiring founding roles as of late 2025. Severity: medium

Questions people ask
Is Unsiloed AI profitable?
Per a November 14, 2025 Orange Collective investment memo, Unsiloed AI is described as profitable at its current scale with 14 paying customers. This is a self-reported, vendor-adjacent claim, not independently audited or confirmed by third-party financial disclosure.
Who is Unsiloed AI's biggest competitor?
Reducto is Unsiloed AI's closest funded rival, having raised $108M total including a $75M Series B led by a16z around February 2026, with customers like Harvey, Rogo, Scale AI, and a Fortune 10 enterprise, and 1B+ pages processed as of that date.
Could AI replace Unsiloed AI?
Frontier models are closing Unsiloed's accuracy edge fast: its vendor-run olmOCR-Bench test (Nov 14, 2025) put its v3.1 parser at 88.0 versus GPT-5.5 at 84.6 and Claude Opus 4.7 at 81.9, a gap narrowing roughly 3-4 points per model release cycle.
How much funding has Unsiloed AI raised?
Funding trackers conflict: one aggregator page (extruct.ai) lists $500,000 raised while titling itself '$1M,' leaving Unsiloed AI's total capital raised unconfirmed as of its Y Combinator F25 batch participation, with no priced Series A disclosed publicly.
What does Unsiloed AI's product actually do?
Unsiloed AI provides a document-parsing API that converts PDFs, scans, slides, and other unstructured formats into structured Markdown/JSON for LLM pipelines, using a 'vision-first' approach with three selectable OCR engines and support for 50+ languages, per its October 21, 2025 API docs.
Who owns Unsiloed AI?
Unsiloed AI is privately held and venture-backed, co-founded by CEO Aman Mishra and CTO Adnan Abbas, both IIT Kharagpur alumni (Abbas also attended MIT), and is a Y Combinator F25 batch company as of its October 31, 2025 launch.
