The call

Tripledot is bigger and better funded than a year ago, but it competes in genres where Playtika and Scopely already hold ground, and AI helps everyone build casual games faster.

Tripledot makes solitaire, puzzle, and word games for phones with 25 million daily players and $2 billion in yearly revenue. The problem is that making these games is not hard: Playtika, Scopely, King, and Microsoft all know how to build them too, and artificial intelligence is making it cheaper and faster for everyone to create new games, so the field is getting more crowded, not safer. The key question is whether Tripledot's hit games like Solitaire.com can stay popular enough to keep making money after it merges with AppLovin, and whether the company can catch up to rivals who are already using AI better.

Why
01
AI pressure: Generative AI tools used across the casual games industry. AI cuts the cost of art, levels, and QA for every rival too, so it crowds the market instead of handing Tripledot an edge. Could AI do the core job? Only partly.
02
Bigger players: Playtika, Scopely, King (Microsoft), Zynga (Take-Two). Playtika already leads solitaire, Tripledot's home turf, and Scopely's Monopoly GO tops casual publisher charts in 2024. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. Broad portfolio (no title over 10% of revenue) plus fresh scale and ad distribution from the $800M AppLovin games deal.
What would change this call
Whether Tripledot's Solitaire.com and Woodoku hold top rankings against Playtika's solitaire titles by late 2026. Would show if Playtika is actually taking share in Tripledot's core genre.
Whether AppLovin integration produces a goodwill writedown or reported revenue decline in Tripledot's 2026 results. Would show if the $800M acquisition is failing to hold combined revenue.
Whether Tripledot files an S-1 or announces an IPO within the next year. Would show if the company can execute the exit path implied by its $2B valuation.

Questions people ask
Is Tripledot profitable?
Tripledot says it has been profitable since its second year of operation, and reported annual gross revenues of nearly $2 billion following the AppLovin games portfolio integration announced May 7, 2025 (company-reported, unaudited).
Who owns Tripledot Studios?
Tripledot is privately held, founded 2017 by Lior Shiff, Akin Babayigit and Eyal Chameides. After acquiring AppLovin's mobile games studios for about $800 million (deal closed June 30, 2025), AppLovin holds roughly 20% of Tripledot's fully diluted equity.
Is Tripledot Studios going public?
As of mid 2026 Tripledot has not filed for an IPO. Company leadership has said it 'aspires' to become a listed company, but no S-1 or prospectus has been announced.
Who is Tripledot's biggest competitor?
Playtika is widely described by industry commentators as having already won the solitaire genre, Tripledot's flagship vertical, as of June 2025. Scopely became the top casual publisher of 2024 with over $1.6 billion in revenue, per AppMagic data.
Could AI replace Tripledot's game studios?
AI lowers the cost of art, level design, QA and localization for all casual mobile studios, crowding the field. Tripledot only posted a Technical Director role in 2026 to formalize an internal AI adoption strategy, suggesting it lags some peers on AI tooling.
How many employees does Tripledot have?
Tripledot's own materials claim over 2,500 employees across 12 studios in 23 cities as of May 2025, post-AppLovin deal. Revelio Labs, tracking LinkedIn-visible staff, counted only about 563 employees globally as of December 2025.
