The call

Replicant has real customers and real call volume, but sits between a platform giant absorbing its market and better funded rivals moving faster.

Replicant makes software that uses artificial intelligence to handle customer service calls and chats for big companies. It has real paying customers and makes around $24 million a year, which shows the product works. However, Salesforce, a much larger company, is now selling a similar product called Agentforce that is growing extremely fast, and other smaller competitors like Sierra and Decagon are raising money and adding new features quickly. The fact that Replicant has not raised new funding in over four years while its rivals are raising money suggests investors may be betting the company will be bought by a bigger player rather than stay independent.

Why
01
AI pressure: Sierra AI, Decagon, Parloa, Cresta. Well funded rivals ship voice agents faster and raise rounds Replicant hasn't matched since 2022. Could AI do the core job? Yes, likely.
02
Bigger players: Salesforce Agentforce. Agentforce hit $1.2B ARR growing 205 percent yearly and already owns the CRM system of record customers run on. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. Named enterprise accounts like AAA, ADP, and DoorDash with deep phone system integrations that are costly to rip out.
What would change this call
Replicant announces a Series C or new funding round within 6-9 months. Would show investors still see an independent, defensible path.
Continued funding silence into late 2026 plus a strategic acquisition announcement. Would confirm the company is heading toward acquisition, not growth.
Salesforce Agentforce or NICE/Genesys ship native voice-agent parity features. Would show the platform incumbents are closing Replicant's product gap.

No public profitability data exists. Replicant last disclosed a funding round in April 2022 ($78M Series B, $550M post-money) and has not confirmed audited revenue since; the company claims 2.5x YoY revenue growth as of February 2026, but this is vendor-reported and unaudited.
Has Replicant raised new funding recently?
No new funding round has been publicly reported since its $78M Series B in April 2022, led by Stripes with Salesforce Ventures participating. As of mid-2026, that is a 4+ year funding silence while rivals like Sierra, Decagon, Cresta and Parloa raise actively.
Who owns Replicant?
Replicant is privately held and venture-backed, founded in 2017 by Gadi Shamia and Benjamin Gleitzman. Investors include Norwest Venture Partners, Stripes, Salesforce Ventures, IronGrey, Omega Venture Partners and Atomic. No IPO or acquisition has occurred as of mid-2026.
Could Salesforce Agentforce replace Replicant?
Salesforce's Agentforce reached roughly $1.2B annualized revenue with 205% YoY growth as of mid-2026 per third-party reporting, directly overlapping Replicant's contact-center automation niche and dwarfing Replicant's much smaller scale, per July 2026 reporting.
What is Replicant's biggest competitor?
Replicant faces both platform incumbents (Salesforce Agentforce, NICE, Genesys) that already own CRM/CCaaS systems of record, and AI-native rivals Sierra AI, Decagon, Cresta and Parloa, all raising capital and iterating faster through 2025-2026.
What does Replicant actually sell?
Replicant sells a B2B SaaS 'Contact Center Automation' platform combining LLMs with deterministic guardrails to run voice, chat and SMS AI agents, backed by SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR and CCPA certifications, per its own platform page (undated).
