The call

A small, profitable tool now depends on a much bigger platform's goodwill while AI features erase its simplest selling point.

TeamGantt makes Gantt charts, the timeline tools that show when work starts and stops. Making one used to be hard and specialized, but now Asana, monday.com, and Smartsheet all have AI assistants that can sketch timelines automatically (they launched these in late 2025), and free AI tools online can do the same thing in seconds. TeamGantt's only real difference is it works with Procore, a huge construction platform, but that deal is less than two years old, unproven, and controlled by Procore, not TeamGantt. If Procore builds its own timeline tool or stops promoting TeamGantt's connector, or if the bigger companies' AI assistants get better at construction schedules, TeamGantt could vanish very fast.

Why
01
AI pressure: GanttPRO AI, ClickUp built-in AI, and Asana/monday.com/Smartsheet AI agents. Describe a project, get a Gantt chart instantly; the core entry wedge is now a free feature inside bigger tools. Could AI do the core job? Yes, likely.
02
Bigger players: Procore. TeamGantt's construction pivot runs through Procore's $1B platform, which could build native scheduling and cut the connector. Could a giant copy it? Yes, easily.
03
What protects it. 6,000 paying customers and 16 years of SEO-driven organic traffic, with no debt or investors forcing a sale.
What would change this call
Procore announces or ships native project scheduling within its platform. Would remove the need for TeamGantt as a separate connector layer.
TeamGantt reports paid-customer growth (not just headcount or traffic) in its Builder Edition by Q4 2026. Would show the construction pivot is converting to real revenue, not just strategy.
Asana, monday.com, or Smartsheet publish adoption data for their AI scheduling agents in small-team accounts. Would show how much of TeamGantt's core market is being absorbed by suite incumbents.

  • Growth score 6/100 (June 2026)
  • ~$3M-$5M ARR, 6,000 customers (March 2026)
Named risks

  • Dependence on Procore integration that TeamGantt does not control; Procore could build native scheduling. Severity: medium
  • Small headcount (~20-21) and flat revenue limit ability to compete with well-funded rivals' AI investment. Severity: medium
  • Construction/Builder Edition pivot is under two years old and unproven at scale. Severity: medium

Questions people ask
Is TeamGantt profitable in 2026?
TeamGantt is bootstrapped with no outside VC funding, and third party estimates put revenue around $3M ARR as of 2024, rising toward seven figures per a March 2026 founder interview. No explicit profitability figures are disclosed, but its self funded 16 year history suggests it covers costs without external capital.
Could AI replace TeamGantt?
TeamGantt's core use case, drafting a Gantt chart from a project description, is now reproduced by generic AI tools like GanttPRO AI and GanttChart.ai plus embedded AI in Asana, monday.com and Smartsheet. A June 2026 ClickUp review called TeamGantt's own AI drafting 'lighter' with appeal in accessibility, not deep automation.
Who is TeamGantt's biggest competitor?
Direct rivals include Asana, monday.com, Smartsheet, Wrike, ProjectManager, GanttPRO and Buildertrend, per a June 2026 Crustdata profile. In its newer construction niche, TeamGantt integrates with Procore, a roughly $1B revenue, ~4,000 employee public company vastly larger than TeamGantt's ~20 person team.
Who owns TeamGantt?
TeamGantt is privately held and bootstrapped since its 2009 founding in Baltimore/Glen Arm, Maryland, by co-founders John Correlli (CEO) and Nathan Gilmore. It has taken no outside venture capital or equity investment, per a 2019 Technical.ly report and 2024 Latka profile.
Does TeamGantt have a Procore integration?
Yes. TeamGantt launched a live Procore integration in November 2024 that lets users push schedules from TeamGantt into Procore, positioning itself as a scheduling layer complementing rather than replacing the larger construction platform, per TeamGantt's own product release notes.
How many customers does TeamGantt have?
A March 2026 podcast interview with co-founder Nathan Gilmore cited 6,000 customers across 180 countries and seven figure ARR, distinct from an earlier claim of about 1 million cumulative users as of September 2019, likely reflecting free signups versus paying accounts.
