The call

Veho keeps growing parcel volume and clients but sits on a 4.5-year-old valuation in a field Amazon and UniUni are both racing to automate.

Veho is a delivery company that picks up and drops off packages in cities across the US using drivers and local hubs. It is not hard to copy because many similar companies like UniUni and OnTrac do the exact same thing with the same playbook, and Amazon already runs its own huge delivery network that could easily move into Veho's customers if it wanted to. The one thing that could change everything is if Veho raises new money at a much higher valuation than its last round from four years ago, or if it cannot keep up with how fast UniUni is growing.

Why
01
AI pressure: Amazon Logistics' AI-optimized DSP and robotics stack. Amazon's AI routing and RIVR-style robots cut delivery cost per parcel, pressuring Veho's pricing and tech edge. Could AI do the core job? Only partly.
02
Bigger players: Amazon Logistics. Amazon's non-union DSP network already moves more US parcels than UPS or FedEx, squeezing regional carriers on price. Could a giant copy it? Probably.
03
What protects it. Direct API integrations and named retail contracts (Sephora, Ulta, Macy's) create switching friction, not a true barrier.
What would change this call
Veho announces a new priced funding round (Series C) and states its valuation. Shows whether investors still value Veho at or above its 2022 $1.5B mark.
A marquee Veho client such as Sephora, Lululemon, Macy's, Ulta, or Kroger switches to a rival carrier. Would confirm Veho's customer switching costs are weak and easily overcome.
RIVR's robotics pilot status is reported beyond Austin by end of 2026, checked against its 100-robot target. Indicates whether Veho's automation bet is scaling or stalling.
Key numbers
  • $1.5B Series B valuation, no new round since (2022-02-15)
  • 78 markets, over 50% of US population covered (2026-06-10)
  • 90% revenue growth 2023, then 19% staff cut (2024-01-25)
Named risks
  • No priced funding round since February 2022, over 4.5 years, raising valuation-staleness concerns. Severity: high
  • Dependence on independent-contractor driver model exposed to gig-worker reclassification rules. Severity: medium
  • Crowded field of similarly-funded regional carriers running an identical playbook erodes differentiation. Severity: high
  • RIVR robotics pilot confined to Austin as of mid-2026 with no confirmed scale-up toward 100-robot 2026 target. Severity: medium
  • 2024 corporate layoffs occurred despite revenue growth, suggesting cost pressure even amid expansion. Severity: medium

Questions people ask
Is Veho profitable in 2026?
No public profitability data exists; Veho is private. It reported ~90% revenue growth in 2023 per The Information, and doubled parcel volume in 2025, but no profit figures have been disclosed as of mid-2026.
Has Veho raised new funding recently?
No. Veho's last priced round was a $170M Series B in February 2022 at a $1.5B valuation led by Tiger Global and SoftBank Vision Fund 2. As of July 2026, no new funding round has been reported in over 4.5 years.
Did Veho lay off workers?
Yes. In January 2024, Veho cut about 19% of its corporate/exempt staff, roughly 65 jobs, even as revenue grew about 90% in 2023, per TechCrunch reporting from January 25, 2024.
Who is Veho's biggest competitor?
UniUni is the fastest-rising threat, reportedly growing parcel volume over 1,000% year-over-year in 2025 per AlixPartners (January 2026). Amazon Logistics, which has surpassed UPS and FedEx in US parcel volume, is the larger structural threat.
Could AI or robots replace Veho's delivery drivers?
Not entirely. Veho piloted RIVR's stair-climbing delivery robots in Austin, TX starting May 2025 for the 'last 100 yards,' but this is framed as augmenting drivers, not replacing them, and has not been confirmed to scale beyond Austin as of mid-2026.
Who owns Veho?
Veho is privately held and venture-backed, founded in 2016 by Itamar Zur and Fred Cook. Investors include General Catalyst, Tiger Global Management, and SoftBank Vision Fund 2, with no acquisition or public listing reported.
